On September 23, theme forum of the 5th West China International Nursing Conference centering on the conference theme "Gather Wisdom for Precision Nursing,Build Discipline Peak,Promote Global Health" , focused on the forefront of technology, discussed the construction of disciplines, and promoted the development of nursing.

Professor Li Weimin, President of West China School of Medicine/West China Hospital,Sichuan University warmly welcomed multidisciplinary scientists, scholars, and teachers and students from nursing and related fields to the 5th West China Nursing International Academic Conference in his speech. He fully acknowledged the achievements of West China School of Nursing and nursing discipline team, and hoped that the Conference can build an academic exchange platform for scholars at home and abroad, build an international cooperation bridge, and promote innovation and development in the nursing discipline.

Academician Wang Chen, Dean of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and President of Peking Union Medical College delivered a message and presented the report titled "Six Domains" and "Six Treasures" of Healthcare. He underscored the pivotal roles of doctors and nurses in life-cycle care and crucial contribution of nursing to comprehensive care for health. Based on this,Academician Wang Chen elaborated on the concepts of "promotion,prevention, diagnosis, control, treatment, and health" (referred to as the "Six Domains") and " language, medicine, equipment,nutrition, housing condition and environment" (referred to as the "Six Treasures") and the scientific mechanisms in healthcare. His report not only points out a new direction for systematic research in the nursing discipline, but provides new inspiration for the innovation of nursing technology and the development of health models.

Academician Wang Chen's significant report marked the commencement of the sixth theme forum of the 5th West China International Nursing Conference.
